  • It’s becoming a practiced norms for Nigerian political offenders to seek escape grounds where it doesn’t really exist to bail themselves out whenever the hand of the law is about to catch up with them. It’s very amusing and insulting at the sametime as it shows how these political jobbers are making mockery of the laws and constitutions which they are co-author and co-keeper for the national authority and security.

The other day, it was the senate leader running helter skelter to hault legal proceedings on an offence he was accused of. Flying from court to court, instead of facing the charges if he’s really plain as he claimed. He rather choose to seek means but which he will never face trial in the process spending millions of naira in legal proceedings.

In the past incidence, Bola Tinubu, Buruji Kashamu, Iyiola Omisore, Rotimi Amaechi and a host lot of others have exploit this means to be exonerated for their misdeeds. Recently it’s the deputy senate president writing ti the outside world to intervene on his behalf when he was called upon to answer charges of forgery levied against him.

Come to think of it, Saraki went to the West African court to stop his trial. Ekweremadu is heading for the international communities and possibly international court. The same international communities they will not listen, when they ask them to serve their people. They often claim sovereignty. Are we no longer sovereign?. My take is that they should humble themselves and go through this trial, whether trumped up, vendetta or not and prove their innocence. They are still innocent and they have not been denied that. No judgement has been passed either and they are beating the drums of persecution. Is it the case that the guilty are afraid.

How would our democracy be threatened, if Saraki and Ekweremadu are found guilty of forgery and sent to jail. I think our democracy will be enhanced. What has threatened our democracy so far is that, the so called big men will commit heinous crime and get a slap on the palm, while poor people with lesser crime rot in jail.

Honourable person engage in honourable act. most international community political system is not as corrupt as Nigeria political system. We Nigeria must respect the legal system, it is the foundation of a Nation. Saraki and Ekweremadu election questionable and if they think they are innocent they should proof themselves in court. Writing letters to international community is immature and make our nation laughable. How can organisation proposing immunity and life pension be taken seriously.
