The German defender tweeted his thanks and goodbye messages, but Barcelona fans wouldn't allow him to enjoy a reflection of his wonderful career which saw him won 20 trophies with the Bavarian giant.

But response to this tweet are savagery as they quickly reminded him of his champions league game encounter with Lionel Messi;

We'll always remember your legacy of crawling before Messi bro...hope you get someone to replicate that...,When you find your self in the right channel things become soft for you. In one word can you defend all of this trophies?

A fan even insinuates the reason for his success is based on one of the importance of choosing Germany over Ghana and that’s a fact .This is true. He wouldn’t have lasted long in Bayern  if he had chosen Ghana over Germany..

A pundit of the game writes; I'm a Barcelona fan through and through but what I fail to understand is how our fan base is under here talking all this shit when we got thrashed by Bayern and not only once,  why TF are we so toxic man let the man brag about his career.
