Manchester United chief Ed Woodward has resigned from his position as the chief executive of the club following the backlash and criticism that surrounds the plan for top clubs in England to break away from the premier league to join a proposed European super league. The plan has been faced with heavy criticism since it was announced days ago and football lovers around the world have rejected the break away proposition.

It seems the break away plan will see more people loose their job as two prominent footballing exec has lost their job in quick succession. Although, it's not clear if Jose Mourinho sacks has anything to do with the plan of the big league to break away, but he was the first football big name to loose his job since the announcement was made on Saturday.
