Chelsea host Athletico De Madrid at hone tonight on a second leg champions league quarter final qualification encounter, though the blues has an advantage with a 1:0 away win in the first leg, but the second leg encounter remains tricky as the slender lead can be wiped out in a matter of seconds if the opposition is allowed to capitalize on a weak start.

The last weekend Chelsea game against Leeds United was stumpy, and the blues have to be very aggressive in their approach to the athletici Madrid game in order to emerge victorious in their encounter, the Spanish team remains at the top of the log in Spain and have been maintaining the lead since the loss to Chelsea in the first leg encounter.

Its almost very sure Diego Simeone will have a tactical ace up his sleeve going into this game, but Chelsea must try hard to absorb whatever tactical master class the Argentine might be willing to come up with. The Madrid team reached the final of the UEFA champions league in in 2016, they must at least defeat Chelsea with more than a goal in order to repeat that feat this time around.

The former Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel remains unbeaten in 12 games since he took the London job, winning eight and drawing the other four across all competitions. Chelsea are sitting fourth in the Premier League with 51 points, with no chance of winning the competition, as leaders Manchester City have 71 points.
The champions league remains one of his hope if he's to win any silverware in his first season at the club
