The Commissioner of Police, Ngozi Onadeko, according to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Adewale Osifeso, said this on Sunday night. The CP commiserated with the bereaved families and urged residents to remain calm and trust the police while promising that those behind the attack would be apprehended. The Commissioner of Police also said policemen, hunters and vigilantes have been deployed in the town to prevent a further breach of security.

Also, Unknown Gunmen on Sunday attacked the residence of the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Imo State, Mr Declan Emelumba, in Ubulu, Oru West Local Government Area. He explained that the attackers upon arrival, shot sporadically into the air, causing panic before setting his two buildings in his family compound ablaze.

Another report says, Genocide going on in South East and Essien Udim in Akwa Ibom by Nigerian Soldiers. Innocent young men arrested, tortured and some killed. 

Another one; Cop dead as bandits kill 41 farmers in Zamfara fresh attacks in Tofa and Samawa villages in Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State. An indigene of the area, who gave his name as Malam Balarabe, informed The PUNCH that the bandits invaded the area when the farmers were planting their crops and others were clearing their farms. They came suddenly and began to shoot at the farmers, killing many of them,” Balarabe stressed.

“In the process of the attack, 11 persons including some of the bandits were confirmed dead, while a number of vehicles and buildings including the Palace of the Asigangan of Igangan Town and a filling station were torched
