The head of HISBAH in Kano  says it has confiscated about 9,000 bottles of beer in two local government of the state. The Dawakin Kudu and Kura Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kano has been swept clean of about 9,000 of alcoholic beverages.

The disclosure was made by the Commander­­-General of the HISBAH board, Dr. Harun Ibn-Sina,  It clearly states in a memo made available to newsmen on Tuesday that a vehicle containing the alcoholic drinks was coming from Zaria to Kano when HISBAH officials arrested the driver.

According to Knightpen calculations  it means the HISBAH had saved the two local government a 540,000 liters of alcohol. Which is though not too good in a contemporary persons's perspectives, but resisting this contents to get into the community will safe the society and the government the trauma and health hazard the consumptions of those alcoholic beverages might cost.
In the past, HISBAH has been kicking against alcoholic beverages and have been hell bent in chasing away bootleggers in the state.
