Kante should have been another serious contender, but even mount has been class, kante has been very instrumental to the champions league final. His injury woes in the start of the season must have hampered his performance to win the accolade.
Another contender would've been Eduardo Mendy, if Mount hasn't won it, Mendy would've been the best for the accolades. Mendy arrival had made the team more formidable, that in itself is worthy of a deserving accolades
