HOW PRESIDENT BIDEN PLAN TO CURB GUN ACCESSIBILITY IN THE UNITED STATES
One of the biggest problem the United States is facing internally is the accessibility of guns within it boarders, but president Biden has outlined means by which it could be controlled
President Biden outlined his administration's strategy to combat gun violence and other violent crime from the White House on Wednesday afternoon alongside Attorney General Merrick Garland.
The plan, according to TIME, includes allocating funds from Biden's American Rescue Plan to local law enforcement for hiring or community violence intervention (CVI) programs, revoking the licenses of federal firearms dealers the first time they violate federal law and more.
The President also sends warning to gun dealers who violate firearms laws, regulations: "We will make sure you can’t sell death and mayhem in our streets." gun dealers who willfully violate regulations, "we'll find you, and we will seek your license to sell guns".
But this seems like a far fetched idea especially considering the fact that every state has different laws for guns. Maybe I'm wrong and this will actually help, but I really do feel like this is one of those things where they are pretending to care without actually doing anything.
