LOOMING CRISIS FOR APC AS INEC RECEIVES CONVENTION NOTIFICATION
THE convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scheduled for February 26 is now certain to hold.
The ruling party in Nigeria APC have finally confirmed his convention to hold on February 26th with the country's electoral body INEC.
The “Notice” from the Mai Mala Buni-led caretaker leadership is being awaited at the headquarters of the electoral body since a date was picked by the party.
Anxiety had heightened among the party faithfuls that the exercise might be truncated if the legal demands were not fulfilled or met. But now that it's clear the convention will hold, what are we to expect from the much anticipated convention.
Some had believed the party will not be able to weather the storm after this convention as factions are bound to be created leading to the 2023 general election.
These means that the factions might not be in favour of the leading candidate of the party for presidency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The conference might be birthing place of the Osinbajo movement to the presidency come 2023.
But time will tell.
