Manchester United thrash Roma 6:2 in their first leg tie in the Europa league semi final at old traffics. The more things change, the more they stay the same  Manchester United have scored six goals in a single match in European competition for the first time since the seven they scored against Roma in April 2007. First time a team has scored 6 goals in one leg of a European semi-final since Real Madrid in 1964.

Delivering on the European stage. Edinson Cavani has now scored 50goals in major European competition. Solskjaer reiterates he would 'love' to have Cavani at the club next season. 'He has to feel scoring those goals in the Stretford End with fans, that's a different feeling. We've got the best fans and no better way to celebrate than in front of them.' #mufc. Solskjaer on Cavani: "You can see the difference in him when he has his fitness up. He is making up for lost time."

Paul Pogba won more duels (10), completed more take-ons (4) and won more fouls (4) than any other Man Utd player against Roma. #UEL, he also grabbed himself a goal. Experience shone through for #MUFC tonight. Cavani, Pogba and Fernandes were class. cavani makes ole's system come alive, and he's shown it time and again! We have to keep him! Martial and rashford not good enough at no9, and mason still too young!

Mason Greenwood has had his fair share of criticism this season.. But the 19-year-old scored his 10th goal of the campaign tonight. But why criticize a 19 year old boy for goodness sake, he's still growing. What he needs is encouragement. The first half was awkward, the second one was great.. and yes, @ManUtd is the favourite to win this league..
