After the federal government's failed promise to lift the Twitter ban in "just a few more days" in September, Nigerians were left hopeless and wondering if the ban would ever be lifted under the current administration.

On Sunday, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, says that talks to lift the Twitter ban is in progress with just a few conditions yet to be met.

Mr. Keyamo further discloses that Twitter has agreed to all of the conditions set by the Nigerian government but citing "timelines" as the only hurdle.

Apparently, Twitter reached out to the federal government asking how they could fix their "relationship".

According to The Minister, some of the conditions that Twitter has agreed to are paying of taxes to the Nigerian government and opening an office in Nigeria.

We recall Twitter had earlier stirred a debate in Nigeria after announcing to open it's regional headquarters in Ghana, rather than Nigeria where it enjoys more patronage.
