NECO REGISTRAR KILLING: HOW A NEW ERA OF ASSASSINATION CREPT INTO THE NIGERIA SPACE

The soft-spoken NECO Registrar, Prof. Godswill Obioma was assasinated at about 7am May 24, 2021, when he spoke on the ongoing Senate probe of N6.5b contracts, he said his predecessors were uncomfortable and wouldn't talk about it for now. Last night he was murdered in his residence in Minna.

The killing might not be because of the probe, A prominent northerner was killed in the South East over the weekend and it's impossible not to think about a connection between them.

Also, the COAS was about a thing to effect governance when he met his untimely death. It seems that immediately you assume a position, meet a can of worm and attempt to open it up, it's a pointer to assassination.
