Earlier today, the governor of Osun and Oyo met at Abere to finalize the secession of the Ladoke Akintola University to Oyo State as the sole heir and owner of the renowned University of Technology.

Earlier today, The forver not of state of Osun reeieved the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and his team who came to express their appreciation for the amicable agreement to end joint ownership of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology ( LAUTECH) Ogbomoso. 

It's important to note that the decision was reached in the best interest of the two states, the students, staff and management of the university. They governor also reassure Osun citizens working at LAUTECH that the ceding of the institution to Oyo State won't affect their jobs in any way.

The Oyo state now retain all rights and obligations stipulated in the engagement of the university. Osun students at the university will also not be discriminated against and shall retain all necessary power, it will not be subjected to fees or admission differentials. 

As the Government of Oyo State assumes the full ownership and management of the university, we pray that the cradle of knowledge which we seek to uphold will stand and shine forever and may the touch of enlightenment further progress us to giant heights.
