Nigerians have be clamoring for Pantami to resign for awhile now but he refused, it's seems resignation might be the best way out for him else he might be sacked and subsequently probe, over the past few days, Nigerians on social media, particularly Twitter have been trending the hashtag #pantamiresign which Knightpen had earlier lend it voice on the minister reckless ultrances in the past.

Now the opposition party PDP has also lend it voice asking for him (Pantami) to be sacked and probe by the DSS. The minister has been under heavy criticism for his earlier comment sympathizing with Osama Bin Laden and the Al-qeada network, insinuating in a statement he made in 2006 that the Al- qaeda leader is more of a believer than he can ever be and that he and his are always happy when an infidel/unbeliever are killed. This has generated a lot of talking point, and it has been made the central point why Nigerians are asking for his resignation.

Pantami had for the first time acknowledged his past views but noted that he has since renounced those radical assertions. According to Pantami, the past radical ideas he was championing were due to age, immaturity, and limited knowledge. But Nigerian have now petitioned the US government to include Isa Pantami on it terrorist watch list.

The PDP in a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan in Abuja, asked the Department of State Service to question the Minister. It charges the Department of State Services (DSS) to immediately invite the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, for questioning over alleged affiliations with the Taliban and Al-Qaeda,” the statement partly read.

It will be interesting to see what will happen to him this week and in the end, maybe he would borrow a yard of wisdom from such occurrences in the past and honorably resign or he will wait till he's dragged to the wire and be sacked, hopefully Nigerians and the social media space will win this war against insolence and tyrrany.
