Patrick VIERA, the Crystal Palace manager have commented on the African nations cup and why Europeans should take it serious.
On AFCON: "I respect the passion in the African Cup of Nations and will never stop any player from going. I believe there should be more respect towards it, maybe journalist in Europe should go to Africa and cover it and then they'll understand what it means to be the people of Africa"
This is a good recognition for the game unlike Jurgen Kloop the Liverpool manager who fell under heavy criticism for referring to it as a little tournament.
