There are different reactions to the ongoing discussion on the electoral amendment bill which president Buhari failed to see gon into law.

While some believes he president have gone the right thing by not signing it into law, some others says he has cheated himself out of a place in history by rejecting the bill, here are some reactions to the effect:

"The APC-dominated Nigerian Senate bill stipulating that political parties must conduct direct primaries to choose their candidates into elective offices is a clear indication that the ‘APC senate’ is turning itself into a sole administrator of political parties which is tantamount to political self-help.”

"The Nigerian constitution guarantees the safeguard of our plural democracy. The same constitution inherently guarantees parties to regulate the conduct of their affairs and mandates the Independent Electoral Commission to oversee compliance to their (parties) constitution, a copy of which is deposited with the electoral body.

This direct primary of a thing doesn't make sense at all. Lagos is a prefect example, were Ambode was rigged out through direct primaries and Government shouldn't decide how parties pick their candidates. Indirect or direct primaries will not stop God fatherism.

There is no new thing under the APC government, BUHARIIIIIIII has defiled that since the genesis of his tenure. He himself must have committed several infractions while in power, they only see things clearly after leaving office.

What a holowpoloi, gibberish and baldadash. Violate the constitution how? What section does the said bill violate? The constitution clearly states that the NASS shall make laws to regulate the electoral space including inec and the parties. Mr party chieftain try to speak from a point of intellect next time we are not all alumajeri or zombies.

All these and many more are not gentians reaction to the presidents body language on electoral bill
