The UK government have finally imposed a sanction on Roman Abramovic with all his assets in the United Kingdom being frozen.

This means that Chelsea will be severely host with only fans who has a season long ticket can watch the blues live. Also, the club will not be able to sign players or sell any of his merchandise in the process.

The sanction will also affects ad partners who might needed to renew their contract with the north london club during the period.

Although, the sanctions imposed on Roman Abramovich will expire on May 30, which may allow Chelsea to do business in the transfer market.

But there's a big chance these sanctions will be extended if Russia's invasion of Ukraine continues.

Also, the UK government may still allow the sale of Chelsea to proceed, according to a report from the BBC. But it might not be plowed to take place during the period of the sanction.

It's believed Boris Johnson and his cabinet are considering a license that would permit the sale of the club, on the condition none of the proceeds goes to Roman Abramovich.
