  • The newly elected internal structure of the All Progressive Party (APC) has spring to action by holding its first meeting on Monday, 29th of June, 2020,

The main event sees the erstwhile Giardom hand over the new National Working Committee (NWC) of the party, urging them to put aside all former internal grudges and work together to make the party great again.

He further eulogies the impact and the straight forwardness of President BUHARI and his efforts to bring sanity back into the party. In his words, he said; I am grateful to God, President Muhammadu Buhari and leaders for rescuing our party from what would have befallen the party.

Today, our party has been repositioned to greater heights and I can assure you, with the calibre of people so selected by the National Executive Committee NEC to pilot the leadership of this party into the National Convention. I feel indeed grateful and reassured that our party will remain stronger emerging from this crisis.

The newly elected acting chairman of the party governor Mai Mala Buni also spoke during the inaugural meeting of the committee after the former factional acting National acting chairman Chief Victor Giadom handed over the party to the newly inaugurated committee.

He said; “Change is inevitable and disagreement on issues and concepts is an integral part of the human and institutional relationship. As a political party built on strong ideology and parading men and women of enduring principle and integrity, we must prepare for real and anticipated changes and their consequences. The outcomes of changes that evolve in our Party politics must be decided by us”, Buni stated.

He further explains; what separates the APC from other political parties and which has endeared it to Nigerians, “are the sincerity of purpose, our principles of internal democracy, and the unblemished integrity of the founders of our Party”. He tagged the reason why the party went through it’s recent crisis to the multiple gathering of intelligent minds as the main reason for disagreement and fall out.

His “real change“ slogan used in quantifying the new term of his led APC administration seems like a brand new agenda are to be put in place in running the party and curtailing the excesses of some power linger aggrieved by the decision taken by the factional power.

It will be of interests to witness the dimension this new political wave in the ruling party might blow, but obviously not in the directions of the south western Oligarchy ambition.
but it’s okay to have disagreements, must issues is if the disagreement will be resolved, it’s unlikely the south western states agree to the arrangement that the party chairman and the president came from the same zone.

Also to put to note is the Congress bound to take place before elections might be the disintegrating tie for the party to diversify if solid agreements are not reached about party structures and position allocations
