THE DILEMMA OF FIGHTING CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA

The recent corrupt allegations levied on the EFCC head Ibrahim Magu is a shame on the entire body task with fighting corruption and bringing corrupt body to book. The gregarious display of unbridled gluttony discovered on the path of Magu only shows how deep rooted corrupt practices has grown in the Nigerian society.

Furthermore, the involvement of the Attorney General of the Federation in the unveiled corrupt practices of Magu is another pointer to how deeply rooted corruption has infest the Nigerian nation.

Mostly so, this shows that; fighting corruption in a corrupt infested country like Nigeria becomes a world war which can’t be won within the confine of the country,

These fighting agents task with destroying this deadly societal anomalies remain its guiding agents and are head bent in making it a striving endeavor to better their loots.

But in retrospect, there action continually throw the country into an impoverished states which it has already found itself and further ruin any chances the state might have to lay its wobbling feet’s on the path of survival.

To cap it all, it seems all agencies tasked with the sanity, growth and progress of Nigeria is largely and overly corrupt, the Nigerian police leads the line, so is the army whose effectiveness in defending the territorial integrity of the state is largely hampered by large scale corruption.

All arms of government, government parastatals, religious houses and leaders, couldn’t be exempted from the plague of corruption ravaging the Nigerian nation, this is a dilemma which seems impossible to overcome, destroyed or broken.
