Getting to know your Life

Understanding the planet earth through the world we live in is a massive opportunity
“Nobody can discover the world for somebody else. Only when we
discover it for ourselves does it become common ground and common
bond and we cease to be alone.” – Wendell Berry. A Place on Earth

Coming to this world, the earth I believe, is one of the most amazing things
ever happened to man. The opportunity to think, express your mind,
conceive and fulfilling one’s idea. Becoming a president of a fortune
500 company, make a contribution to the body of knowledge. Either in
Science, Technology, Philosophy or Religion.

You want to become one of the great inventors of all time? Or the next first
lady of a great nation? You want to be remembered for your word of wisdom
and riddles? Well, nothing stops you from become your dream but yourself.

Meanwhile, the avenue, platform by which this could come to be, is the
world which we all live in. You can dream of great things and beyond
as far as your imagination could travel, because you are still here
with us on earth.

The earth is a common name for the whole of human
civilization, specifically human experience, history, or the human
condition in general, worldwide, i.e. pertaining to anywhere on earth.
~ Wikipedia

It’s the only place in the universe naturally designed for human
existence without the aid of any scientific or technological device.
By default, it was made habitable for man’s activities without the
rudiments of adaptation. And considering what is meant by “being
habitable” — to an astrobiologist, this means a planet on earth
with water oceans orbiting a sun-like star.

But, in an article titled: Where Will We Live After Earth?
Fredrick Jenet and Teviet Creighton, University of Texas stated that
“habitability by humans requires more than just water, and the chances
that ordinary humans could simply step out and populate such a world
(outside Earth) is slim.

Moreover, Robert Walker in his book: Ten Reasons NOT To Live On Mars –
Great Place To Explore opined that. “Mars is a fascinating planet,
the most like Earth of all the planets in the solar system, and may
help us to understand much about the origins of life on Earth. Undoubtedly,
it’s a wonderful place to explore, especially with augmented reality vision.
But though it was quite Earth-like in its first few hundred million years,
it is not at all Earth like now.

Earth remains by far the most habitable place in our solar system.
The most inhospitable places on Earth, such as Antarctica, even
in the depths of winter, and at the centre of the continent,
are far more habitable than anywhere else in our solar
system. Space colonies and the poles of the Moon, are both more easily
habitable than Mars, and more easy to make self sufficient.”

The earth for thousands of years has been serving and subordinate to
every bit of man’s desires. Yet, it’s never lose its hold. Even when
men used their bulldozer, the plow and other great instruments to
trample and turn its beauty to ashes; becuase of survival.
