UNITED STATES TEMPORARILY RELOCATES ITS EMBASSY IN UKRAINE
The US has relocated its embassy in Ukraine following the build up to Russia invasion of Ukraine
US Embassy operations in Ukraine will be temporarily relocated from Kyiv to the western city of Lviv, near the Polish border.
The relocation was due to the “dramatic acceleration in the buildup of Russian forces,” Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in a statement on Monday.
US officials and allies have repeatedly called on their citizens to leave Ukraine immediately, warning that a Russian invasion could come at any moment, including as soon as this week.
US President Joe Biden and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson agreed on a call Monday that a deal was still possible for diplomacy.
