WHY PRESIDENT BIDEN REVERSE TRUMP PLAN TO DRILL IN THE ANTARCTIC

Biden officials to suspend oil and gas leases in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, overturning Trump drilling decision. Only people who would want to drill the Arctic do so purely for money and power. No human that cared about fellow humans and conversely the planet could ever have considered drilling in the Arctic in the first place.

Canada has extended the moratorium on Arctic drilling. It might not be a forever thing, but hopefully it will be. There was an Antarctic Treaty in 1961 which Oz and 11 nations agreed on. Loads of Scientific research. Military activity and prospecting for minerals was banned. It's a good thing that the United States president is putting on hold such plans in the United States too.

Although, the United States is looking for a way to wean the U.S. away from middle eastern oil reserve dependency. But it's truly believed that the people who want to drill in wildlife refuges do so only to piss off people who care about wildlife. It has nothing to do with oil.

It was a bust anyway. Trump offered the leases up for bid thinking they'd generate $$ Turns out, most energy companies weren't interested. Leases that were sold went for bargain prices due to lack of interest. It's a good thing for Biden to just cancel and preserve the wildlife.
