Members of ASUU National Executive (NEC) currently in a meeting at University of Lagos today to discuss whether to suspend the strike or not. The body have come under heavy criticism following its long duration nation wide strike and insistence on the discontinuation of the IPPIS payment  platform for the teaching body.

The federal government insisting there's no turning back in the decision and the payment platform as it's put in place for all federal workers all over the country and not for ASUU alone. The IPPIS payment platform also includes, the military, judges, police and all other federal government employee and there's no way ASUU can make decisons on the plan and payment solution put in place for all government workers in the country.

But this morning, ASUU is in a meeting at the university of Lagos to call off the strike and use other means to stage their demand on the payment solutions suitable for the body, although the federal government has reiterated times without numbers that there's a no way an employee can dictate to his employers why and what means of payment should be used for his take home.

It's now left to ASUU to reconsider the governments stance
