The Olojo festival, a significant cultural celebration held annually in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria, pays homage to Yoruba heritage and traditions.

An integral aspect of the Olojo festival is the Ooni's seclusion, a revered tradition where the Ooni of Ife, currently Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, withdraws from public life. During this time, he participates in spiritual and cultural rituals, encompassing purification and meditation.

This period of seclusion holds profound importance, serving as a vital preparation for the Olojo festival. It is believed that during this time, the Ooni renews his spiritual and cultural connections, subsequently sharing his enriched wisdom with the community when he emerges.

As of now, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi is in seclusion, engaging in a seven-day ritual to connect with the twenty-four elders who are believed to oversee the world. The Ooni is expected to conclude this sacred period and emerge on Friday to officiate the highly esteemed Olojo festival.
