The act of children going around houses at a time of the year dressed up and hoping to collect sweet treats may date from way back in history, but the version recognised today has its origins in the United States and has spread through TV and movies into the world cultures and willing enthusiast looking to take part in the practices

There is no doubting Halloween is very big the USA, and that means it was a memorable part of anerican  growing up. Now even in Europe, some it seems tto e widely recognised. But this practices are very common among children on Africa, even in Nigeria, I remember while we were growing up, during festive period, we wear carton made mask to ask for treats and have fun along the way. We beat our drums and chant trick or treat with as we go from house to house.

Although, some associates horror and gory stories tot eh Halloween celebrations due to some costumes people choose to wear sometimes are scary, ‘It doesn’t have to be scary things in the United States, not at all,’  an American Chelsea player explains. I know that is the case in Europe and some other part, but it is a bit different over here. It doesn’t have to be scary back home."

But comparing the African way with the United States Halloween practices, although similarities are many, there are some differences which becomes clear. The established date for the US is 31 October, while our practices back then is manly festive period without no specific date. The seniors doesn't really participated in ours back then but opposite is the case in the developed world.
