AGE CIRCLES IN POLITICAL SPACE & SYSTEM
We trace the age circle in the political System of the United States in comparison to Nigerians leaders age bracket. There are vast differences between the age circles and service delivery.
While chatting with friends about the age of Nigerian politicians, we realized that an average age of a prominent politician in the United States right now is above 50, starting from Kamala Harris is the youngest, and she's 56, former president Barrack Obama is 59, the president elect Joe Biden is 78, Diane Feinstein is 87, Donald Trump is 74,Mitch McConnell is 78, Nancy Pelosi is 80, Maxine Waters is 82, Bernie Sanders is 79, Michael Bloomberg is 78.
But trully this American politicians are old and their age ratio is far higher than that of Nigeria, although there are reservations with them in some quarters, they flatly beat African old politicians in age a prowesses That makes Kamala the *only* Boomer on the above list. This isn’t raising age in one particular case. This is insane.
In Nigerian comparism, the average age is in the seventies, President Mohammadu Buhari is younger than the out going and incoming president, while his last opponent in Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president is even a couple of years younger that the incumbent president, Former President Olusegun Obasanjo is in his mid eighties. Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a couple of years younger than obasanjo and so is the Vice President.
Although there's huge disparity in age, the service delivery is at a drastic end. It seems in America, the older they are, the better they become in office services and delivery. Presently. Although trump and gang are out sabotaging the process. Trump & gang are still working at gutting + packing in as many landmines as possible in the remaining days. I beg everyone not to underestimate this. The challenges ahead for Biden are overwhelming & will require extraordinary public patience & support for Biden to succeed.
