Although, one can argue that it is not the same, that China is not invading any country but controlling terrorist acts inside its own territory.
It's sure that, China did not physically invade Xinjiang, where the Uyghurs reside, but the persecution of Uyghur people, both within and outside of detention, was equally if not more severe.
