Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala resumes office for the first time today 1st of March 2021 as the head of the highest body in world trade. The World Trade Organisation (WTO). She slays in her customary Ankara prints as she resumed work as World Trade Organisation Director-General.
Following her emergence months ago, the stipulated period of resumption of office has been slated as March, the first of match signifies the beginning of another tenure of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) leading position. The body witness its first African female leadership following the emergence of Dr. Iweala.
It will be interesting to see what the veteran Nigerian economist could contribute to the world economy following the devastation of the COVID-19 epidemic on world economy.
