FIFA TO UNVEIL ROBOTIC REFEREE FOR THE WORLD CUP IN QATAR
FIFA is set to unveil a robotic referee for the World Cup in Qatar later this year
FIFA have announced that new offside technologies will be used for the first time in the Club World Cup:
A Robot referee for fouls and offside to be decided immediately without the intervention of the VAR or goal line technology.
It's also for limb-tracking to professionally track fouls and life threatening tackle on the field of play.
When the player is offside, the signal will be received by a satellite and will send a decision to the VAR operator within half a second.
