The federal government finally react to the unrest in the university premises by dissolving the ruling body of the great institution, it’s gathered that various uprising which maximally includes the non payment of interest and bonuses to the on academic staf Union, to the claim that the choice of the newly elected vice chancellor was not conducted through the normal and lawful process.

Before the intervention of the federal government to scrap the appointment of Prof. Salami as the incoming veecee, the university has been in a turmoil for a long period where there have  been occasions where NASU members distrust a festschrift in honour of the outgoing Vice Chamcellor Prof. Bamitale Omole and refuse to let the book launch hold on the slated date.

In continuation of their strike action to show their grievances, there was a particular day where a casket presumed to be carrying the corpse of the out going Vice Chancellor was carried around campus claiming that the Prof. is already a dead man and it burial is been carried out by the NASU Member. These remain a concern for all that witness the occasion as these NASU members regidly display the possession of diabolical means to get what they really wanted.

An interview with a friend who’s a NASU memeber bug pleaded anonymous confided in knightpen that the out going vice chancellor was unable to manage the office very well even though he’s a politician and a social scientist who is suppose to be a veteran at managing people to achieve maximum results. It was also gathered that these NASU members are very dissapointed in the veecee selfish atittude as there’s a claim that he never did first it difficult in allocating funds for himself and its offices when need be.

He further explained that most NASU members are mad because the professor spent millions of naira in renovating his VC lodge on campus or neither did it find it difficult to release fund for automobile purchase for his office but refuses to pay NASU bonus and working interests coupled with the fact that they also insisted that the selection of his successor didn’t follow due process. These are just a little part of the issues that actually arrived the NASU body into making the university premises a restless society through their unreletless activities.

All fingers remain crossed as the federal government has not make a new selection yet, but all indications shows that a new Vice Chancellor will be appointed from an outside academic society. Although the NASU member insisted they don’t give a damn who ever came in as their grieve is that a successor from the out going leader is what they decline
