A WAGER ON GOVERNOR ORTOM’S LIFE

Governor Ortom on Saturday narrowly escaped death when suspected armed herders opened fire on him at his farm in Tyo-Mu community in the outskirts of Makurdi town, along Makurdi-Gboko road.

He was attacked by unknown gunmen at his farm over the weekend, it was clearly an attempt to take his life and not to injure or be warned on a particular issue. It was believed that the governor was under attack because he had always stand on the side of the truth and some people in his state are not comfortable with this.

This is like the forth time the governor has been attacked, an attack which he all escaped. The governor has always been against the operations and activities of the herdsmen and bandit in Benue and around the country, this has helped him to make deadly enemies who will stop at nothing to see his end.

The governor had at a time accused MAYETTI Allah as the culprit behind his life, he insisted that the group is targeting him for elimination so that they can freely carry out there banditary and kidnapping activities in the northern region without any opposition
