THE UNITED STATES PRESIDENT PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR TORNADO DEVASTATED STATES
The United States President have visited the tornadoes devastated Kentucky
President Joe Biden arrived in Kentucky on Wednesday morning to survey tornado damage, visiting with local leaders and delivering remarks on his administration's response to the destruction across parts of the state.
Governor Andy Beshear and Rep. James Comer joined Biden for the visit. The governor said at a press conference on Monday that there are at least 74 confirmed deaths across the state and that “undoubtedly there will be more” following a string of deadly tornadoes in the area.
At least five states were hit by tornadoes on Friday and over the weekend, including Arkansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee, killing dozens and destroying countless homes in their wake.
The President promised to bring the might of the federal government to rebuild devastated communities in Kentucky after being hit by one of the deadliest tornado outbreaks in recent U.S. history.
