Vice President Kamala Harris delivered the commencement address at the U.S. Naval Academy yesterday, making her the first woman in the school's (almost) 175-year history to do so.
VP Harris made history as the first woman to deliver a commencement address at the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
But some people criticize her for referring to the Memorial Day as just a long weekend....Where we come from, memorial day means honoring the men & women who sacrificed their lives so we can live in a free nation.
Even my 7 year old son understands what this weekend is about. @VP Harris, show some respect for the heroes who paid the ultimate price for our freedom.
When the Vice President of the United States sees it as just "a long weekend," it is a slap in the face to our fallen heroes & all who have served.
Truly, Vice President Kamala Harris isn’t immune to criticism but republicans attacking her for not caring about veterans feels like the pot calling the kettle black. Trump called veterans losers. VP Harris says enjoy the long weekend and Trumpers feign outrage.
